Top Carpooling and Ridesharing Apps in Guatemala Q1 2022

Throughout the first quarter of 2022, the top five carpooling and ridesharing apps in Guatemala demonstrated diverse performance trends in terms of downloads and active users. This data, provided by Sensor Tower, offers a snapshot of the market dynamics in this sector.

inDrive. Save on city rides exhibited a fairly stable number of weekly downloads, beginning the quarter with around 10K downloads and peaking at 12.2K in the week of January 31. Active users for the app showed a positive trend, starting at approximately 116K and increasing to about 127K by the end of March.

Uber - Request a ride maintained consistent weekly download figures, starting at 10.1K and ending at around 9.1K. The app's active user base saw significant growth, starting at 787K and reaching nearly 865K by the end of the quarter.

Uber - Driver: Drive & Deliver saw a slight fluctuation in weekly downloads, peaking at 2.7K in the week of January 10 and ending the quarter with around 1.7K. The active users for this app remained relatively steady, fluctuating between 14K and 16K throughout the quarter.

Picap experienced a varied trend in weekly downloads, with a high of nearly 4K in mid-January and a low of 773 in the last week of February. The active users mirrored this fluctuation, starting at 12.7K and ending the quarter at approximately 13.6K.

DiDi Rider: Affordable rides had the lowest download numbers among the top five, ranging from 281 to 592 downloads per week. However, its active user base showed some growth, starting at 5.5K and ending at around 6K by the end of March.
